Rape victim, Bedoya Lima wins her award for speaking out on behalf of the tens of thousands of women and girls who were raped during the 52 year civil war. Cherevatenko receives the Anna Politkovskaya Special Award for continuing her human rights and peace building work despite facing the threat of imprisonment in the Russian Federation.
